my arm hurts like mad right now. it seem like eternity since the last time i played badminton and well, yesterday we played and tak sampai first set dah penat. anyhoots, went for the sister's concert and it was rather entertaining coming from a bunch of high school kids. can't say much since the dad and i left half way through the show for another event. but throughout the show, my favourites were girls like girls and the mechanics. i thought they were pretty good. who knew guys could actually pull off the oh so overrated umbrella song. and i never knew the sister would actually shake her booty on stage. she's like half stoned most of the time for pete's sake. but hey, i’m proud of her and she did a wonderful job . congratulations for the successful show and kudos to you kids. but i still think 2005 was the best. we all know why right? heheheh.

after the sister's show, we rushed to ampang for an exhibition. i'm really glad i didn't miss this one because most of the artists exhibiting their works were my favourites. The ones in the pictures are from ahmad shukri, bayu utomo, azad daniel, khalil ibrahim, raja azhar and jai respectively. it’s a black and white show hence, the use of black and white mediums in their works. i’ve been a fan of ahmad shukri for years and I thought the repetition of the corns were quite cool. in fact, i was told that this idea came from his previous installation and the pictures were actually printed on garbage bags. cool eh? i was surprised with raja azhar’s drawings because i’ve seen a lot of his glass artworks before this and i like the idea of how he colours the spectacles and the rest of his composition done in charcoal. another work that i like is the doodle looking work with the yellow coloured bug by azad daniel. the title of his work is rempit but from what i observed it does tell a story of the mat rempits and also the kl city life. it also reminds me of a painting done by a late malaysian artist whose name i forgot but I remember that it was done on a recycled billboard and it was based on his kampung life. another reason why i’m glad i didn’t miss this one because i went with my dad and it’s been a while since we’ve done this thing together and i’m happy that we did.
