i told you there's no such thing as happy endings

i think disney screwed us big time in believing that there's happily ever after. this implies to chick flicks as well. boy meets girl, they fall in love, a little conflict in the middle of the movie, guy realises he loves girl towards the end and taa dahh. oh please, story of my life.. we all know that's bound to happen. that's why i prefer tragic endings because it's much more realistic and it can happen to anyone in real life. remember cruel intentions?

okay fine, let's stick to fairy tales. pocahontas didn't end up with that whatshisface.. errr thomas... eh no, jack? OH capt. john smith. yeah, he went back to england for medical treatment because he got shot. so they had to make pocahontas 2. it's not like she ended up with john smith in this one either. pftt.. okay, the real reason i didn't like the second movie is because the animation wasn't as awesome as the first one.

here's something to think about. i remember seeing this quote in a painting by ivan lam a couple of years ago.
you said that we would last forever and be together forever and we did. now where do we go?

exactly, so what happens next?

they would realize they were being greedy.

but yeah adults tell lies to kids. either for the sake of themselves, or to make them optimistic for the future. then again kids would probably cry if told the truth every time

even adults can't handle them :p
